Acne Treatments
Active acne needs treating with topical agents: we can offer gentle microdermabrasion and/or our acne skin peel programme. These carefully selected products and treatments will help to calm down break-outs and reduce the incidence of new ones, by controlling inflammation and reducing the production of sebum. We can improve superficial acne scarring by Microdermabrasion and Skin Peel treatments, helped by topically applied products.
It is necessary to consult with Dr. Montero to devise the best strategy to fight your acne, and to see if you are indeed an appropriate candidate for chemical peel treatment. Sometimes, if your acne is too severe and still active, then chemical peel treatment may not be indicated to begin with. The best candidates for these treatments are those individuals with superficial acne, or those who suffer from acne scars only.
Our Acne Skin Peel Programme includes:
- One salicylic acid peel per month over three months
- Skin refining Serum: a gentle exfoliant, helps to improve skin tone and texture. Unclogs pores and prevents breakouts.
- Delivery serum: used as post –peel soothing, hydration and repair for your skin. It can be also used as daily moisturiser for people with oily skin.
- Clarifying serum: helps to reduce the number of inflammatory and non inflammatory lesions, whilst contributing to the resolution of existing papules and pustules. It can be used as treatment for active spots or as prophylactic.
- Neutraliser concealer SPF25: with anti-inflammatory properties thanks to its zinc content, it promotes healing and calming down active breakouts. Excellent sun protection, moisturising and anti-oxidant properties.
- All products supplied will last the length of the programme if used as prescribed.
All treatments are preceeded by a thorough consultation and skin assessment.
