Applying eyeliner can be a tricky business but with a bit of know-how you’ll soon have thicker looking lashes and open eyes.

Powder eye liner or eye shadow

This is the easiest type of liner to start with.
Tool tip: Use a fine, stiff flat topped or angled brush.
Technique: Just press and wiggle, close to your lash line and work your way across. For a softer look you can just blend.

Pencil eyeliners

Tool tip: These are best used sharp.
Technique: Slightly tilt your head back and using one hand slightly lift your eyebrow, this will give a smoother base and make it easier to apply. You can either start to draw along the lash line with gentle stokes or just dot along the lashline for a more natural look.

Liquid eyeliner

This is probably the most difficult liner to use – you will need a steady hand.
Technique: Lift your eyebrow with one hand. Start in the middle of the eye and slowly brush along to the outer edge. Then start at the inner lashline bringing it to the middle.

Gel eyeliner

A little easier to apply than liquid.
Tool tip: Use a fine liner or angled brush
Technique: Lift your eyebrow with one hand. Start in the middle of the eye and slowly brush along to the outer edge. Then start at the inner lashline bringing it to the middle.
