Get clever with colour to make your eyes stand out – it’s easier than you think…
Simply choose a shadow or liner that is opposite (or near opposite) to your natural eye colour in the colour wheel.
Brown eyes
Blues and greens will draw attention for all the right reasons. If you are a little afraid of colour, just line around the outside of your eyes in blue or green.
Blue eyes
Warm skin tone – make your blue eyes blaze with coppers, golds and chocolate browns
Cool skin tone – silvers and grey tones will make your blue eyes pop
There are no hard and fast rules, experiment with both and see what works for you.
Don’t know your skin tone? Check out my tips below.
Green eyes
For the ultimate pop, purples and plums are your colour of choice.
Hazel eyes
Lucky you… if your eyes are a mixture of brown and green you can use colours from both colour families.
Once you get to grips with the basics, have fun with colour and experiment!
Determine your skin tone
Go outside into natural daylight and look at the veins on the underside of your wrist.
Blue veins = cool undertone
Green veins = warm undertone
Mix of blue/green = neutral undertone
If you’re still not sure check your jewellery box…
When silver jewellery looks great on you it’s likely you have a cool undertone.
If gold suits you better, you most probably have a warm undertone.
