Eyebrows should play a big part in your make up routine. They frame your face giving it dimension and draw attention to your eyes.
It’s a good idea to get your eyebrows professionally waxed or threaded. This creates the correct shape and keeps them neat and tidy.
Maintaining them at home between treatments is simply a case of removing stray hairs that appear with tweezers.
As we age our eyebrows thin out and grey hairs can creep in. To enhance them use a powder (applied with a small angled brush) or pencil, in a similar shade to your hair colour.
Creating the best shape is key and is easy to do with these easy steps.
1. Firstly hold your brow pencil or brush in a line from the edge of your nostril to the inside corner of your eye – this will give the starting point of your brow.
2. To find where the arch should be, follow the line from the edge of your nostril to the outer edge of your iris.
3. Finally the line from the edge of your nostril to the outer corner of your eye is where your eyebrow should end.
4. Shape your brows by connecting these points with your powder or pencil using gentle strokes.
5. Finish by brushing your brows through using a spooly brush to help to blend and soften for a natural look.
