Mascara really is a desert island product. It brings your face to life and is one of the easiest ways to draw attention to your eyes.

There are many effects you can achieve by choosing the correct formula such as volumizing, lengthening, thickening etc.

Here are my top applications tips:

  1. If you like to curl your lashes do this before applying your mascara. Doing this at the end can damage and break your lashes. Start at the root and hold for about 10 seconds, then repeat a little further up your lashes to create the curl.
  2. Don’t pump the wand in and out of your mascara, it pushes air in causing your mascara to dry up quickly, creating clumpy, flaky lashes. Instead make circular motions or twist the wand then pull out. Remove any excess on a tissue.
  3. Start with your upper lashes and wiggle the wand side to side at the base of your lashes then brush through the lengths, repeat until you get your desired effect, usually 2-3 coats.
  4. For your lower lashes look downwards into a mirror as this will prevent any mascara touching your cheek and repeat the above steps.
