XCellarisPro Twist – Advanced Medical Microneedling

The XCellarisPro Twist is an innovative microneedling device with an adjustable penetration depth of 0.25–2.5 mm.

It offers a minimally invasive treatment option for improving skin texture and treating scars, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and striae distensae. It is a Class IIa medical device that meets the highest European and international standards.

With adjustable penetration depth of 0.25-2.5mm and active needle retrieval, the device ensures precise and controlled treatment.

The variable penetration depth adjustment on the handpiece allows for precise customisation, while high-quality stainless steel needles.

 

A trained practitioner will carry out the XCellarisPro Twist procedure. This creates thousands of micro-medical-needle columns in your skin, each one penetrating the dermis.

These columns will stimulate the skin, encouraging it to regenerate and repair itself. They’ll then rapidly close so that your skin can quickly recover.

Thanks to the precision engineering and fine-tuned controls your practitioner can accurately control the treatment intensity throughout the procedure. This means they can adjust the needle depth and speed depending on the area that they’re treating and the particular condition of that area of skin.

A high-quality hyaluronic acid serum applied to the skin during treatment allows the needle tip to glide smoothly over the skin’s surface. Following the treatment, we apply a hyaluronic acid-based mask product to hydrate and plump the skin.

While microneedling can be uncomfortable, your practitioner will apply a topical anaesthetic to the treatment area 45 minutes before treatment. This has a temporary numbing effect on the skin, making the treatment virtually painless.

A high-quality hyaluronic acid serum will allow the needle tip to move smoothly over the surface of your skin to aid comfort.

Immediately after the procedure, you will look as though you have a moderate sunburn, and your skin may feel warmer and tighter than usual.

This normally subsides after 1 to 2 hours and returns to normal within 24 to 36 hours. (Exceptionally, there may be some redness for up to 4 days)

45 minutes for the anaesthetic cream to work and approximately 30-45 minutes for the treatment, depending on the extent of the area.

We recommend a minimum of three procedures, approximately four weeks apart. However, some skin conditions may require more treatments to achieve the desired results.

Following the procedure, your skin will start to naturally regenerate and repair itself, working below the surface in the dermis.

This will take some time as new collagen is formed, new skin cells are generated, and the dermis layer is rejuvenated.

t can take up to six weeks before you see signs of this regeneration and repair, although the process will continue to work over the following months, leaving you with natural, long-lasting results.

Your skin should not feel sore or painful, so it’s a matter of how quickly the redness subsides and how much that bothers you. You can expect to be back to normal within 24-48 hours, but some reactions can take up to 4 days to completely vanish.

It is not advisable to wear makeup for at least 12 hours after treatment. You may wear specialist mineral make-up, but please take advice from your practitioner as to a suitable brand.

We also strongly advise that you use broad-spectrum high-level photo protection after the procedure, such as a product from the Heliocare range.

You should continue to apply this daily throughout the treatment course, even in winter or on cloudy days. Use tepid water to cleanse the face until the redness has gone, and dry gently. Always make sure your hands are clean when touching the treated area.

Following treatment, it is essential that you continue to care for your skin on an ongoing daily basis with an effective anti-ageing regime. This should be designed to provide photo and antioxidant protection and further enhance the rejuvenation process.

You might be wondering how XCellarisPRO Twist differs from the better-known Dermaroller?

Both devices are for a procedure known as ‘micro-needling’ – breaking the skin’s surface with tiny pinpricks to boost healing, regeneration and collagen production.
