Not all NeoGen systems offer the same treatment options. NeoGen EVO is a medical device with a wide range of energy settings, allowing us to tailor the treatment to your skin.

At Discover Laser, we use low to medium energy NeoGen EVO treatments as part of a carefully planned course. This approach allows improvements to build progressively, without the more significant downtime associated with intensive treatments.

NeoGen EVO uses nitrogen plasma technology to stimulate your skin’s natural regeneration process. Nitrogen gas is converted into plasma energy within the handpiece, then delivered to your skin as precisely controlled heat.

This stimulates collagen and elastin production, helping to improve firmness, texture and overall skin quality. Unlike ablative resurfacing treatments, NeoGen EVO leaves the outer layer of skin intact during treatment.

Lower-energy NeoGen treatments generally involve less discomfort and downtime, with results building over a course of treatments. Higher-energy treatments create a more intensive response in the skin but require a longer recovery period.

At Discover Laser, we currently offer courses of low to medium energy NeoGen EVO treatments. More energy doesn’t necessarily mean better results, and we’ll recommend a treatment plan based on your skin and what you’d like to improve.

No. Although both treatments use energy to improve the skin, they work differently.

Lasers use light energy, while NeoGen EVO uses thermal energy generated from nitrogen gas. Unlike ablative laser resurfacing, which removes the outer layers of skin, NeoGen EVO delivers heat while leaving the skin’s surface intact during treatment.

That doesn’t mean there’s no downtime, particularly with more intensive NeoGen treatments.

NeoGen EVO is suitable for men and women who want to improve skin firmness, lines, wrinkles, texture and overall skin quality without surgery or injectables.

It is suitable for skin types I–IV. Darker skin types (V–VI) may also be considered following an individual assessment and patch test, subject to clinical suitability.

Treatment isn’t suitable if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, have epilepsy or a pacemaker. We’ll review any other medical conditions and medications during your consultation, alongside an in-depth skin assessment, to establish whether NeoGen EVO is right for you.

Yes. One of NeoGen EVO’s distinctive capabilities is treating the delicate skin around the eyes, including the eyelids and close to the lash line.

It can help improve fine lines, wrinkles and crepey-looking skin around the eyes, without surgery or injectables. We’ll assess the area and explain what results are realistically achievable.

During treatment, you’ll feel heat being applied to your skin, which is generally well tolerated. Numbing cream isn’t usually needed for the lower-energy treatments we offer.

Afterwards, your skin may feel warm and tight, rather like sunburn, with some redness or swelling. You may also experience temporary darkening and fine, flaky peeling over the following days. It’s important to let your skin shed naturally rather than picking or rubbing it.

We’ll give you clear preparation and aftercare instructions, including advice on hydration and skincare, and our clinical team is available 24/7 if you have any concerns.

You may notice some improvements in your skin within 7–10 days, but NeoGen EVO continues working beneath the surface as new collagen and elastin develop. Improvements in firmness and tightening can continue over the following 3–6 months.

Results vary depending on your skin and treatment intensity.

We currently offer courses of three treatments, typically spaced 4–6 weeks apart, with maintenance treatments considered after 6–12 months to help sustain your results.
